In the first of the Young Sherlock Holmes series by Andrew Lane, Sherlock is sent to an Uncle & Aunt in the country whilst his Mother is recuperating. Stone Cold is the seventh in the Young Sherlock Holmes series in which the iconic detective is reimagined as a brilliant, troubled and engaging teenager – creating unputdownable detective adventures that remain true to the spirit of the original books/5(48).   Supernatural Sherlock. Of the six re-imagined versions of Sherlock Holmes books I read over these last weeks, the most unique was Beastly Bones by William Ritter. It is a young adult, fantasy version of the famous detective. Jackaby, the Holmes-like detective, has a gift for detecting the unexplained and the extraordinary. His Watson is Abigail Author: Tiffani Willis.

I enjoyed reading this novelization of one of my favorite movies, "Young Sherlock Holmes". It gave a lot more backstory about the Egyptian time period that is only touched on briefly in the movie. It did get slightly long-winded in parts but overall it was a enjoyable, short read/5. From Book 1: Death Cloud is the first in the Young Sherlock Holmes series in which the iconic detective is reimagined as a brilliant, troubled and engaging teenager – creating unputdownable detective adventures that remain true to the spirit of the original books.. The year is , and Sherlock Holmes is fourteen. His life is that of a perfectly ordinary army officer’s son: boarding. After Young Sherlock Holmes series, Andrew did another Series called Lost Worlds which also got some attention. Andrew has a wife and a son and lives in Dorset, England. The first book in the series entitled Young Sherlock Holmes is known as Death Cloud. Sherlock Holmes is a teenager and it shows his life before he becomes a famous detective. Night Break by Andrew Lane. Sherlock's mother has died, his father has disappeared in India and his sister is acting strangely. The Holmes family seems to be falling apart, and not even brother Mycroft can keep it together.

The series is also known as Sherlock Holmes: The Legend Begins in the United States. Andrew Lane began his Young Sherlock Holmes series in with the novel Death Cloud. Below is a list of Andrew Lane’s Young Sherlock Holmes books in order of when they were first released (which is the same as their chronological order): Publication Order. Did Young Sherlock Holmes: The Death Cloud inspire you to do anything? If this is supposed to be a portrayal of Sherlock Holmes as a young teenager, it really doesn't feel like it. The whole book doesn't feel like a Sherlock Holmes mystery but rather a kind of Victorian Alex Rider as it comes across as something similar to the teenage spy book. Where does Young Sherlock Holmes 2: Red Leech rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far? I foung it quite entertaining, and engaging. I was very concerned to find out it's the same story as "Rebel Fire" by the same author, especially since I was impressed enough by this story and it's predecessor, "Death Cloud" to purchace that.
